About David

I actually started my career in research and development in the Biotech field before pivoting into SEO via a Craigslist ad. I have since been working in SEO since 2018 with experience on both the agency and client side helping websites grow. I have driven SEO and Product goals to completion at American Addiction Centers and Recovery.com before joining Scalable Growth.

Purpose & Impact

My purpose is to guide and educate behavioral health and addiction treatment organizations on how SEO and local search can create meaningful, measurable impact. I believe SEO should not be a black box. By using data, search behavior, performance insights, and clear strategy, I help organizations understand their digital presence, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions that strengthen their visibility and connect more people with the care and resources they are searching for.

Trusted Partnerships

One of the things I value most about my work is the trusted partnerships I have with our clients. Every organization is different, with its own personality, perspective, challenges, and goals, and I enjoy learning what makes each team unique. Despite those differences, there is always a shared purpose at the center of our work: helping more people find the care, support, and resources they need. Building those relationships, learning from each client, and working together toward that common goal is what makes the work meaningful to me.

Career Highlights

One of the highlights of my career has been having the opportunity to work on reputable, industry-leading websites such as American Addiction Centers, Rehabs.com, and Recovery.com. Working on platforms with such a strong presence in the behavioral health and addiction treatment space has given me the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, collaborate with experienced teams, and contribute to websites that help connect people with information and resources when they need them most.

The result working in this industry for this long has allowed me to watch SEO evolve from the days of link building and keyword stuffing into the much more sophisticated discipline it is today. I have seen search change alongside technology, user behavior, and the way people find and consume information online. Now, with the rise of AI, we are entering another major shift in how people search and discover information. Being able to adapt, continue learning, and develop new strategies alongside these changes is what keeps SEO exciting for me. I enjoy being part of an industry that never stays still and finding new ways to apply what we know to create meaningful, data driven impact for our clients.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, I enjoy watching scary movies, trying new restaurants and cafés, and occasionally questioning the meaning of life. I’m always up for discovering a new spot, finding a good film, or getting lost in a conversation about the bigger questions.
